Financial Literacy for Kids

A brief came in to build and develop a fin-tech startup that helps kids or parents teach their kids about money, but most importantly about the concept of compound interest. The concept takes pocket money and encourages kids to invest the funds in a super fund like account.

The idea was to teach kids a process in order to create wealth and the founder needed someone in the education space and create knowledge based content for the platform.

5 "principles" were pinpointed: Earn - Make the most of it, Save / Invest - Start small, Protect - "Rainy day" thinking, Spend - Get a good deal and Borrow - How much is too much? As a result, most of the work involved mapping of concepts such as that for 0-5 year olds.

Building storylines became the focus of portraying the 5 key principles. The development of key characters included drawings such as those below:

With the nature of start ups and entrepreneurial ideas, the main work involved with the project has now shifted focus. Watch this space...

Excited by future challenges, my passion is to revolutionise learning, work practices and development so people, products, clients and organisations are assets in an ever changing Global community.
